At least four including three school students were killed and several others injured after a passenger bus fell into a gorge in Himachal Pradesh's Shimla district on Monday morning. The rescue operation is underway.
According to an official, a bus, with most of its passengers as school children, fell into a gorge near Khalini village in the Shimla district of Himachal Pradesh. In the unfortunate accident, four people including three students were killed and many others injured.
“The driver of the Himachal Pradesh Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) bus died on the spot and three students succumbed to injuries when they were being taken to a hospital,” the official added.

Recently, 44 people were killed and 34 others severely injured when an overloaded bus fell into a deep gorge in Kullu district. According to reports, the bus - carrying over 50 passengers - was on its way from Banjar to Gada Gushaini area.
Himachal Pradesh Governor Acharya Devvrat and Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur had expressed grief over the tragic accident. In their condolence messages, they prayed for peace to the departed souls and strength to the bereaved family members, an official spokesperson had said.
Also, the chief minister had ordered a magisterial inquiry into the accident.
