32 Hindu inmates along with 1,174 Muslim prisoners lodged in Muzaffarnagar jail are observing the dawn-to-dusk fast (roza) during Ramzan.
Prison authorities have made special arrangements for the inmates who are performing roza, jail superintendent Rakesh Singh said. Milk and dry fruits are being provided to them for iftar, he added.
There are a total of 2,600 prisoners lodged in the jail out of which 1,174 Muslims and 32 Hindus are observing the fast.
