New Delhi:
An earthquake measuring 5.2 magnitude on the Richter Scale jolted the Andaman Islands on Wednesday.
The earthquake hit the islands 49 km from Mayabunder at 12:42 PM. This is the second earthquake that jolted the islands in a day.
Earlier, a light earthquake measuring 4.5 on the Richter scale rocked Nicobar Islands of Union territory Andaman and Nicobar at 5:25 am, according to the India Meteorological Department.
No causalities or damage to properties due to the earthquake has been reported yet, the officials said.
