Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Saturday announced to transform the Sangrur as a ‘Model district’ of the state by bringing industries, smart educational institutes and hospitals with top-class facilities. 'Sangrur was dubbed to be a backward district but now it will be transformed as a model district of Punjab. We will develop smart schools, multi-specialist hospitals and boost industrialisation to generate employment,' CM Mann said while addressing a gathering of traders and businessmen here. Mann along with Sisodia and AAP workers held meeting with Sangrur, Baranala and Sunam segment here. CM Mann said that the state government would launch ‘E-government’ a single-window portal to eliminate inordinate delays and corrupt practices in the process for getting approvals to set up a business.
Mann said that this single window portal will hugely benefit the traders and businessmen to avail all government services including getting NOCs, approvals and paying taxes smoothly and transparently. Stating that 6, 000 acres of panchayat land were freed from encroachment in three months, Mann said that a special crackdown against influential people will be launched soon to remove 60, 000 acres of encroachment from government lands across the state. Lambasting opposition leaders for creating uproar over the alleged deterioration of the law and order situation, CM said that Congress and SAD-BJP leaders are bewildered with the functioning of the AAP government and they are trying to malign the clean image of the party with their scurrilous remarks. He appealed to people to ensure the victory of AAP candidate Gurmail Singh in the bypoll elections.
Delhi Deputy CM lauds dynamic working style of CM Mann, says AAP eradicates corruption in Punjab within three months Lauding the decisive working style of CM Bhagwant Mann for taking pro-people decisions, Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi Manish Sisodia said that corruption has been eliminated from Punjab by AAP to facilitate people and businessmen within three months of governance. Attacking opposition parties of Punjab, Sisodia said that earlier, leaders were focused to fill their coffers and did scams in various schemes but the AAP government under the leadership of Mann is working painstakingly to bring back the lost glory of the state. He said that new schools, colleges and hospitals would be built across the state and unemployed youths will get jobs. The Mann government has already approved giving over 25, 000 jobs in the state.
