A voter turnout of 62.89 per cent was recorded in the bypoll to the Kolibera assembly seat in Jharkhand on Thursday, a release of the Election office said.
Five candidates - Soreng of BJP, Menan Ekka of Jharkhand Party, Naman Vixcel Kongadi of the Congress, Anil Kandulna of Sengel Party and an independent candidate, Basant Dungdung - were in the fray.
The bypoll was necessitated after Enos Ekka, the Jharkhand party MLA from Kolibera seat, lost his membership of the House after his conviction in a murder case.
