7 wagons of goods train derail on Jind-Rohtak line, railway traffic affected

Train movement was affected on Tuesday on the Jind-Rohtak section in Haryana after seven wagons of a goods train derailed near Karainthi signal resulting in cancellation and diversion of many trains.

Accident Relief Train and cranes were rushed to the site and senior railway officials including divisional railway manager, Delhi,  Arun Arora reached to the site to manage and supervise the traffic restoration work.

The unaffected portion of the goods train has already been moved for Rohtak.

The goods train comprised of a total 58 wagons out of which seven derailed causing disruption in the train movement in the section, said a senior Northern Railway official.
