The government has made Adhaar card identification necessary for a new licence as well as for those seeking renewal. This move was made mandatory in order to check multiple driving licences under one name in all the states.

In a move to check multiple driving licenses under one name will help to beat traffic, criminal offences or for the fake identity.

The biometrics details available in the Aadhar number's will help out in solving such practices. This rule is expected to begin from October this year, official sources said.

Earlier, Aadhar card has also been mandatory for those who want a new mobile connection then make sure that you have your Adhaar card ready for acquiring it. After income tax returns and pan cards, the Government is making Adhaar card mandatory for the purchase of new mobile connection.

On Friday, the department of telecom (DoT) has issued directives to re-verify both prepaid and postpaid subscribers through an Aadhaar-based eKYC process by February 6, 2018.
