NEW DELHI/PUNJAB: Among the roaring chants of support – ‘Ek Mauka Kejriwal Nu’ & ‘Aam Aadmi Party Zindabad’, AAP National Convenor and Delhi Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal addressed a series of highly enthusiastic Nukkad Sabhas in seven different areas of Punjab today. He called for all three crore Punjabis to come together and eradicate the corrupt parties which have formerly ruled the state to save Punjab – that only the Aam Aadmi Party can save the state. He stated – None of these parties can stomach the formation of the Aam Aadmi Party’s government, for it will put an end to their era of incessant loot and plundering, and all the criminals will go to jail. BJP, Congress, and Akali Dal have collectively robbed Punjab of its glory – they all got together in order to plunder the state. We have to form a strong government by bringing more than 80 seats. The people of Delhi have rejected and thrown the BJP-Congress out of power in Delhi. Now only AAP has a stronghold in the nation’s capital. Similarly, we will build schools-hospitals in Punjab like Delhi and provide all required facilities including 24x7 electricity supply for free. The Aam Aadmi Party believes in brotherhood and peace among all. It will work in the interests of each and every community – be it Hindu, Muslim, Christian, Sikh, or from any caste or creed.
AAP National Convenor and Delhi CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal held a magnanimous series of Nukkad Sabhas throughout Punjab today. He paid homage to Guru Nanak Dev at the roadshow in Dera Baba Nanak. He appealed to the public to vote in large numbers and lead the Aam Aadmi Party to victory. The street meeting of AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal began at 11 a.m. from Fatehgarh Chudiyan. After Fatehgarh, he spoke at Dera Baba Nanak at 12 p.m., Gurdaspur at 1.15 p.m., Dina Nagar at 2.15 p.m., Bhoa at 3.15 p.m., Sujanpur at 4.10 p.m., and Pathankot at 5 p.m. During this time, Aam Aadmi Party candidates and senior leaders from each constituency were present. The street meeting drew a large number of party supporters and workers. All of the street meetings were attended by a large number of locals. People gathered on their balconies and terraces to hear AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal speak. During this, AAP convener and Delhi CM greeted everyone by waving their hands and urged the Aam Aadmi Party to form a government in Punjab led by Bhagwant Mann.
While addressing the rousing crowds, Shri Arvind Kejriwal, said, “The elections begin on the 20th – everyone must be ready to cast their vote for the Aam Aadmi Party. This time we have to come together and save Punjab from these corrupt governments. Everyone will together push the button with AAP’s election symbol, and not even mistakenly vote for any other party. All these parties have collectively robbed Punjab – BJP, Congress, Akali Dal – they all got together in order to plunder the state. Over the past few weeks, they have begun throwing accusations and criticism at me and Bhagwant Mann and ganged up against the Aam Aadmi Party. They are not fighting among themselves anymore, but have formed a front against AAP. Sukhbir Badal solely hurls allegations against me and Bhagwant Mann and my party only, and doesn’t utter one word against Channi Sahab. Channi also joins Sukhbir Badal and the BJP in deprecating AAP, and lays down arms when it comes to speaking against the Badals. Where is our fault in this? That we will develop brilliant schools in Punjab as we have in Delhi? Or that we will build hospitals here mirroring those in Delhi? Or that we will provide free electricity 24x7 to the people of Punjab like Delhi? We will provide an allowance of INR 1000 to every woman in Punjab. None of these parties can stomach the formation of the Aam Aadmi Party’s government, for it will put an end to their era of incessant loot and plundering.”
He added, “The Aam Aadmi Party will work in the interests of each and every community – be it Hindu, Muslim, Christian, Sikh, or from any caste or creed – AAP will build schools where children from all backgrounds will study together. The Aam Aadmi Party will also regularise contractual workers, and solve all grievances shared by the people of Punjab. This will be possible because Sardar Bhagwant Mann is a staunchly honest man, and the Aam Aadmi Party is the sole trustworthy party in the country. You must all go around your respective streets and get everyone to vote. You must lead AAP to victory by voting for the right candidate in your area and choosing Bhagwant Mann as your Chief Minister. All these parties have only one objective that under any circumstances the government of the Aam Aadmi Party should not come. For the last 70 years, these parties have looted Punjab together.”
At the same time, while addressing the street meetings in Bhoa and Sujanpur, CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal said, “On the 20th, the AAP election symbol button must be pressed, and Punjab must be saved. All of these parties have looted Punjab over the last 70 years. Punjab is said to be in debt to the tune of Rs 3 lakh crore. How did this Rs 3 lakh crore loan accumulate? I am the Chief Minister of Delhi – not a single sign of debt can be spotted there. We built a lot of schools and hospitals, without amassing any debt. There isn’t a single school, hospital, dispensary, college, or university in Punjab which has been built in the last 30-40 years. When the work did not go as planned, what was the point of all this money? The politicians in the past governments have garnered and kept so much money in their Swiss banks. Now all these have gathered against us. If all these thieves and thugs can gather, then can't three crore people of Punjab get together. This time, if all the corrupt politicians of Punjab can stand together on one side, then the 3 crore honest residents of the state will throw them out. This time the entire system will be transformed. An honest government will come to power this time in order to save Punjab, to revive its glory. Only the Aam Aadmi Party is capable of doing this. Everyone must go out and vote, no one should sit at home. Every single vote in each mohalla, each household counts. In the coming days, Punjab will flourish the same way as Delhi. Therefore, there is an appeal to BJP supporters that there is no use in spoiling your vote by voting for BJP. We have to get more than 80 seats this time and form a strong government in Punjab.”
