The Aam Aadmi Party has emerged as the single largest party while registering a historic victory in the Chandigarh Municipal Corporation elections today. The Aam Aadmi Party had entered the Chandigarh Municipal Corporation elections for the first time and won 14 wards of the Chandigarh Municipal Corporation, which was a BJP stronghold. Expressing happiness over this historic victory, AAP National Convenor and Delhi Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal congratulated all the winning candidates and workers of the party and said that this victory of Aam Aadmi Party in Chandigarh is a sign of change in Punjab. He added that the people of Chandigarh have rejected corruption and misgovernance and chosen AAP’s honest politics. Delhi Deputy Chief Minister and Senior AAP leader Shri Manish Sisodia said that this victory is a sign that people want to give a chance to ‘honesty and working politics’ given the alternative to do so. The Aam Aadmi Party has now emerged as a credible national level choice as well. There has been a lot of discussion on social media reinforcing that after Chandigarh, AAP will wave its flag in Delhi’s Municipal Corporation elections next. Senior AAP Leader Shri Durgesh Pathak said that this wave of victory from Chandigarh Municipal Corporation will reach Delhi Municipal Corporation.

AAP National Convenor and Delhi CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal has expressed his delight at the party's historic victory in the Chandigarh Municipal Corporation elections. He tweeted, “The Aam Aadmi Party's victory in the Chandigarh Municipal Corporation is a sign of change to come in Punjab. Today, the people of Chandigarh have rejected corrupt politics in favour of the AAP's honest politics. Congratulations to all of the AAP's winning candidates and employees. Punjab is ready for change this time.” At the same time, Delhi Deputy Chief Minister and Senior Aam Aadmi Party Leader Shri Manish Sisodia tweeted, “People of Chandigarh today have reposed faith in the politics and leadership of Arvind Kejriwal ji. A heartfelt thank you to every single voter of Chandigarh. This victory is a sign that if there is an alternative, people want to give a chance to ‘honesty and work-positive politics.

Aam Aadmi Party has emerged as a credible national level option

The honest politics practised by Shri Arvind Kejriwal has had a humongous impact on the entire country. Under his leadership, never seen before progress has been ensured in all areas of Delhi, including education, health, electricity, water, and women's safety. This is being discussed and praised both in India and abroad. As a result, the Aam Aadmi Party's popularity has grown rapidly across the country. Prior to the Chandigarh Municipal Corporation elections, the Aam Aadmi Party ran for local body and panchayat elections in Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, and Goa, garnering widespread support. The Aam Aadmi Party won more than 83 Zilla Panchayat seats, 300 Gram Panchayat seats, and more than 232 Kshetra Panchayat seats in Uttar Pradesh's Panchayat elections. Simultaneously, the Aam Aadmi Party won 18 seats in the Surat Municipal Corporation elections in the BJP's stronghold of Gujarat. Similarly, in Maharashtra's Gram Panchayat elections, the Aam Aadmi Party won 145 of 300 seats. In the Himachal Pradesh Panchayat elections, the AAP fielded 40 candidates and won a historic victory in 36 seats. Simultaneously, the Aam Aadmi Party won one District Development Council member seat in Jammu and Kashmir and one Zilla Panchayat member seat in Goa.

Following Chandigarh's footsteps, Aam Aadmi Party will soon wave its flag in Delhi’s Municipal Corporation as well

Following the tremendous victory of the Aam Aadmi Party in the Chandigarh Municipal Corporation, the party's big for elections of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi is also making headlines on social media. On social media, there is speculation that, following Chandigarh, the Delhi MCD will restore the Aam Aadmi Party's glory. Many people are congratulating the Aam Aadmi Party on their victory in Chandigarh on social media. In this regard, Senior Aam Aadmi Party Leader Shri Durgesh Pathak affirmed that the Chandigarh Municipal Corporation's victory wave will reach the Municipal Corporation of Delhi. He stated that the people of Delhi are tired of the BJP's corruption in the MCD. Now, the people of Delhi want the Aam Aadmi Party to govern in MCD as well, and in this election, the people of Delhi will drive the BJP out of MCD.

Workers celebrate Chandigarh victory at the Delhi party office

At the party headquarters in Delhi, Aam Aadmi Party leaders and workers also celebrated the resounding victory in the Chandigarh Municipal Corporation. Since the morning, the workers had begun to congregate at the party headquarters. As the votes were counted and the Aam Aadmi Party candidates' victory was assured, a large crowd gathered at the party office. Workers at the party headquarters danced loudly and joyfully to the beat of drums. Workers congratulated one another on their victory and expressed full confidence in the formation of an Aam Aadmi Party government in Delhi MCD under the capable leadership of Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal.
