The Aam Admi Party’s Rajya Sabha MP from Punjab, Raghav Chadha, has been appointed as a member of the parliament’s standing committee on finance.

This places Chadha, a chartered accountant by profession, and the youngest MP in the Rajya Sabha in a position where he will be engaged in providing legislative oversight on the policies and decision making of three union ministries and the Niti Ayog. He is an alumnus of the London School of Economics and was vocal on economic issues like inflation and GST in his first session in parliament in August this year.

Chadha’s inclusion in the committee is a reflection of his own considerable financial expertise. He is among the seven Rajya Sabha MPs nominated by the party from Punjab.
