BJP's Union Minister of State Meenakshi Lekhi today made a an attempt to compare Delhi Government's work with that of the BJP's MCD. She claimed that MCD was doing better than the AAP Government and even went as far as applauding their schools. Replying to her false claims, AAP Senior Leader and MCD in-charge Shri Durgesh Pathak said that the true hallmark of BJP's work is the filth spread around Delhi. He stated — Meenakshi Lekhi has made a laughing stock out of herself by appreciating MCD schools; the whole of Delhi knows she's lying. In 15 years of BJP rule, their councillors only got richer while their employees got poorer.
Shri Durgesh Pathak stated, "Today Union Minister of State Meenakshi Lekhi claimed that the BJP-ruled MCD has done a lot of work which the Delhi government could not do. She says that the Delhi government spent several thousand times more money in the budget as compared to the MCD. The funniest thing is that she believes that the schools of MCD are better than the Delhi Government. I would like to tell her that the whole of Delhi knows what the reality is. And if she talks about the difference between preaching and doing, I agree with her. In fact, the BJP-ruled MCD makes big promises to the public, talks big on development, but their actions are completely opposite to that. They have made Delhi dirty and full of garbage in the name of development. In the name of promises, BJP has repeatedly cheated the people of Delhi and all of MCD's employees."
He added, "The true hallmark of what the BJP has done in Delhi is visible when you roam on the streets. You will get the real report from there. Today the roads and drains of Delhi are full of garbage. One thing that has been done properly by them is that their councilors have become very rich. Everyone has bought big cars and mansions. If someone has become poor then they're the Safai Karamcharis of Delhi. If someone's life has been spoiled, then they are the Safai Karamcharis of Delhi. No house is built in Delhi without BJP councilors extorting money for it. The ground reality is the best report of BJP's 15 years of rule in MCD."
