Time for change; time to uproot the BJP from the MCD: Gopal Rai

Aam Aadmi Party Delhi State Convenor Shri Gopal Rai said, “the whole population of Delhi is suffering from a disease called the BJP and its tyrannical governance in the MCD. In the last 15 years of MCD Administration, BJP has ruined the civic body to an extent that no one could have even imagined. Time has now come for change in the MCD. Now it is time to uproot the BJP from the MCD and in view of this, the Aam Aadmi Party has started the ‘MCD Badlaav’ campaign.”

Took a team of thousands of dedicated workers to make the campaign successful: Gopal Rai

He added, “Thousands of people participated to make the campaign successful on the first day. During this campaign, all the Mandal Presidents of the Aam Aadmi Party carried forward the baton by putting up camps in their respective areas and successfully registered about 1.5 lakh people for the membership of AAP. While interacting with the people of Delhi during the campaign, there was one common agenda that the residents came up with — BJP’s misgovernance in the MCD and the need for them to be kicked out of power. People clearly want to see an honest government in MCD too. The elimination of the BJP from the MCD is certain and is just a formality waiting to be fulfilled in the coming elections.”

Give a missed call on 8882828282 and join this movement to change the politics of the country: Gopal Rai

He continued, “through this campaign, 50 lakh people will be associated with the party in the next one month. One can become a member of the Aam Aadmi Party by giving a missed call on 8882828282 and join this movement to change the politics of the country.”

Delhi has only gotten shame for remaining dirty in the last 15 years because of the BJP: Durgesh Pathak

Aam Aadmi Party MCD in-charge Shri Durgesh Pathak said, “the Aam Aadmi Party has started the MCD Badlaav campaign because of the misgovernance and corruption in the BJP-ruled MCD in addition to how Delhi has gotten shame for remaining dirty in the last 15 years because of the BJP. The people of Delhi showed interest towards AAP in an unprecedented manner. In just 24 hours, about 1.5 lakh people took membership of the Aam Aadmi Party. Everyone took an oath that in the upcoming MCD elections, we will together free the MCD from the Bharatiya Janata Party.”

Cleanliness a major issue in elections this year; people cheated by the BJP: Durgesh Pathak

Talking about the tremendous response received from the public, he said, “when discussions took place among the public today, the most important issue was cleanliness. People took along AAP leaders and walked from one street to another street and showed them the mess spread because of the BJP. Garbage could be seen on every street, every crossing. AAP workers also met the sanitation workers who shared how they are being exploited in MCD. They are being made to work but they are not being paid salaries. Nor are they getting a decent work environment where they can continue to work. In some places like Model Town, the doctors and nurses of hospitals also expressed their anguish.”
