New Delhi:

While the nation reels in horror at the rape and sexual abuse of 34 girls in Muzaffarpur shelter home, Bihar, another chilling incident from Patna's Aasra Shelter Home has been unravelled on Saturday. A renewed surge of horror rattled the country after two inmates of Aasra Shelter home died last evening in Patna.

As per the latest report, a team of Forensic Science Laboratory has reached the shelter home for to investigate the matter.

Speaking to the reporters, Patna District Magistrate and Senior Superintendent of police Kumar Ravi said, "Prima facie they seemed to have fever and diarrhoea. Further details will be revealed after a medical report comes. Matter is being investigated. We'll also look at their medical history and post-mortem reports".

"One of the bodies has not been disposed yet, we have requested for another post-mortem. People in the organisation are being questioned, action will be taken against those at fault," Ravi added.

Ravi was at the Rajeev Nagar police station to question the five people who were detained in connection with the death of the women. A medical board was also constituted on Sunday to investigate the death of the inmates at the state-run 'Aasra Home'.

On Friday two women were taken to Patna Medical College and Hospital but were declared dead on arrival. Quite surprisingly, an insider from the home called the police on Sunday, two days after the mysterious deaths of the inmates.

In a blame game, the shelter home claimed that both the inmates died during treatment at the medical college while the authorities has rubbished such allegation, saying they were brought dead to the hospital.
