The Adityanath government has proposed to build 100 metres Lord Ram’s statue on the banks of the Saryu River in Ayodhya. The state tourism department has already made a presentation to governor Ram Naik in this regard.
The construction will start once it gets the approval of National Green Tribunal (NGT).
"The statue will be installed only after clearance from the National Green Tribunal," Principal Secretary Tourism Awanish Awasthi said.
According to a press communique from Governor office, Awasthi had met with the Governor and made a presentation under “Navya Ayodhya” plan.
