The RSS ideologue Rakesh Sinha on Wednesday took a jibe at Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi for his remarks in which he seemed to suggest that the right-wing organisation discriminated against women.

Criticising Rahul Gandhi's remark, Sinha invited former’s sister Priyanka Gandhi to attend a session and see for herself how women are treated in RSS.

Speaking to news agency ANI Sinha said “Rahul Gandhi insulted women by making statements on shorts. Rahul Gandhi does not know anything about RSS. I invite Priyanka Gandhi to attend RSS shakha then only he would get to know about RSS perspective that it respects and treat women equally,"

He further said that Rahul Gandhi should not make any observation of such low-level discourse without understanding the values of the 90 years old institution.

On his two-day visit to poll-bound Gujarat, Rahul Gandhi drew huge flak for making statement against women in RSS.

Rahul Gandhi at a meeting in Gujarat's Akota said "The BJP's main outfit is the RSS. How many women are there in the RSS? Ever seen any RSS 'shakha' (branch) with women wearing shorts? At least I haven't seen any,"
