After a humiliating defeat in Rajasthan bypolls, a section of Rajasthan BJP has started demanding the resignation of Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje and party’s state president Ashok Parnami.
BJP’s president of Kota OBC cell Ashok Choudhary has written a letter to Amit Shah and demanded CM Raje’s resignation by citing discontent among party workers after bypoll results.
In his letter, Choudhary said, “Vasundhara Raje has steered the party on a path from where defeat seems inevitable.”
“Farmer, employees, workers and all sections in Rajasthan are very angry. All the workers of Rajasthan BJP want a change in party’s leadership and I also want Vasundhara Raje and Ashok Parnami to be sacked immediately,” Choudhary's letter to Amit Shah read.

With assembly elections due later this year, BJP suffered a massive jolt in Rajasthan and lost all the three seats (Two Lok Sabha and one Assembly seat) to Congress.
The party lost the Ajmer and Alwar Lok Sabha seats by a massive margin of 84,414 and 196,496 votes respectively. It also lost the Mandalgarh Assembly seat by 13,000 votes to Congress.
After the defeat, Rajasthan’s Pradesh Congress Committee chief Sachin Pilot said the bypoll results were people’s mandate against Vasundhara Raje government.
Raje herself accepted that the Rajasthan bypolls result was a wake-up call and asked party workers to work even harder.
