Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Sunday took another jibe at Prime Minister Modi and compared him to a cricketer who plays looking at the wicketkeeper.
"If Sachin Tendulkar would have batted looking at the wicket-keeper, could he have scored a single run? Our Prime Minister is such a cricketer who looks at the wicket-keeper and does not know from where the ball is coming from," Rahul Gandhi said.
During his public meeting on day two of his “Jana Aashirwada Yatre” in poll-bound Karnataka, Rahul Gandhi attacked Modi for speaking about Congress’s past rather focusing on country’s future.
Earlier, speaking at Karatagi in Raichur district, the Congress President advised Modi to start working since his term has almost ended.
Hitting back at Modi for criticising erstwhile Congress governments, Rahul Gandhi on day one of his Karnataka poll campaign in Ballari on Saturday had said that Modi is driving looking in the rear-view mirror and will cause accidents.
"You (Modi) drive the vehicle by just looking in the rear-view mirror, which will cause accidents. This country cannot be run by looking in the rear-view mirror," Mr Gandhi had said on Saturday.
