Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) always comes with a reason that keeps it under controversy. In a recent development government auditor has pointed out a financial irregularities of about Rs 120 crores.

It is also suspected that vice-chancellor Zamiruddin Shah is also involved in illegal transection of Rs 51.73 lakh to one of the private trust. Interestingly, he is a life time trustee with it.

The 100 page long report by CAG is likely to be tabled in the monsoon session beginning from July 18.

The audit which was done in December 2015 details 58 financial irregularities in total including construction of hostel for 1500 women students and conducting Ph.D programme through distance education mode in contravention of UGC regulations.
