Amit Shah asks booth workers to sacrifice sleep till BJP comes in power

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah on Thursday directed his party booth level workers that Karnataka assembly polls to sacrifice their sleep till state unit chief BS Yeddyurappa is sworn in as chief minister.

Shah directed the booth levels to come out of their comfort zones, while he was addressing BJP’s booth level presidents and Shakti Kendra chiefs at Devanahalli in Bengaluru.

“It is no ordinary elections. It is our grand entry in South India. I want to appeal to all Shakti Kendra and booth level workers to sacrifice your comfort and sleep till Y BS Yeddyurappa swears in as state chief minister on May 5,” Amit Shah said.

Shah further highlighted that booth level workers and Shakti Kendra chiefs lead party to victory. “We our cadre based party, while all others are leader based,” the BJP chief added.

Karnataka Assembly polls are scheduled for May 12 and counting of votes will be on May 15.

Shah to boost BJP partyworkers in Karnataka said that ever since Narendra Modi took over as prime minister in 2014, BJP has won in 14 states including Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Manipur, Tripura, Maharashtra, Jharkhand, Haryana, Gujarat,  Meghalaya and Assam.

The BJP chief asserted that changing the regime has become a must in Karnataka. He said, “Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has ruined Bengaluru which was one of the highest revenue generating cities in the country.”
