Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi warned BJP Members of Parliament (MPs) to pull up their socks and be cent percent present during House proceeding during the BJP Parliamentary meeting in New Delhi on Thursday.
During the meeting he congratulated BJP chief Amit Shah for completing three years as president of the party and his win in Gujarat Rajya Sabha election.
PM Modi addressing to MPs present at the party Parliamentary meeting said, “Amit Shah is here... all your leisure days are over.”
According to a Lawmaker who requested anonymity, PM Modi’s stern words were for those who are in the habit of abstaining themselves from House proceedings.
The Lawmaker also added that PM Modi in the meeting also emphasised that Shah will ensure the presence of all members in the Houses.
The Lawmaker added that PM Modi during the meeting also said, “In spite of multiple requests MPs are remaining absent. I am nobody, you are nobody. It’s the BJP that is most important.”
