Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah on Saturday launched the party’s mass contact campaign in Madhya Pradesh’s Malwa-Nimad region. Shah launched the ‘Maha Jansampark Abhiyan’ from the Rajwada area and sought support from the people for his party in the upcoming polls.

Shah kickstarted the campaign from a ‘paan shop’ in Rajwada and its owner offered a ‘paan’ to the BJP president. He also garlanded a statue of Ahilyabai Holkar, a former queen of the kingdom of Malwa, in front of the historic Rajwada Palace of the erstwhile Holkar dynasty. Shah then offered prayers at a Mahalaxmi temple located in the vicinity.

Currently, the BJP chief is addressing the Ujjain Sambhag Kisan Sammelan in Ratlam, Madhya Pradesh. During his address, Shah has listed the achievements of BJP government and accused the Congress of doing nothing for the farmers and tribal population in the region. He has also promised the farmers to double their income before 2022.
