Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his bravery and grit in revoking provisions of Article 370 and 35A. He said that PM Modi took the step in the very first session of the parliament after NDA formed the govt for the second time. Shah is delivering address on revocation of Article 370 in Mumbai. Amit Shah claimed that there was no unrest in Kashmir. He added that terrorism will finished in the coming days.
He also blamed Jawahar Lal Nehru for the current problems with Pakistan. "PoK wouldn't have come into existance had Nehru not declared untimely ceasefire with Pakistan," said Amit Shah.
"Three dynasties which ruled Kashmit didn't allow anti-corruption bureau to be set up there," Shah said, "Those who indulged in corruption in Kashmir now feeling the heat despite the cold there."
He asked Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and NCP chief Sharad Pawar to tell people if they support or oppose removal of Article 370.
Shah said on Saturday said it will ensure that nobody is harassed because of their religion, according to Muslim outfit Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind, which met the Union Home Minister. A joint delegation of Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind, Jamiat Ahle Hadees Hind called on Shah at his residence and issued a statement later.
The home minister said the government was “ready to speak to all Muslim organisations with an open heart”.
