Hailing him as an “exceptional talentâ€, megastar Amitabh Bachchan has condoled the death of his friend, actor Om Puri saying he is in grief after hearing the news.
Puri passed away on Friday morning due to a massive heart attack at his residence in suburban Andheri. He was 66.
Bachchan, 74, who has collaborated with Puri in several films including “Ghatakâ€, “Devâ€, “Baabulâ€, “Kyun ! Ho Gaya Na†and “Lakshyaâ€, took to Twitter to express his shock over the actor’s passing.
“Shocked to learn of OM PURI Ji’s passing just now.. a dear friend a lovable colleague and an exceptional talent .. in grief!†Bachchan posted.

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan too condoled the death of veteran actor and said he will miss the actor as well as his hearty laughter.
Fondly remembering the times he spent with Puri during the shoot of “Don 2†in Berlin, Shah Rukh tweeted, “Gods garden must be beautiful, he always takes the bestâ€. Will miss your laughter over the shared brandy in Berlin. Will miss you lots Omji. RIP.â€
