A first year student of business management at Amity university's Noida branch, P Sai Krishna committed suicide in his hostel room and his body was found hanging from a ceiling.

In a tragic incident, a first year student of business management at Amity university's Noida branch committed suicide on November 5 in his hostel room.

The student P Sai Krishna was found hanging from his ceiling and a suicide note, written in Telugu was recovered from his room.

Krishna was a native of Telangana and had joined the course only 4 months ago. 

This is the second suicide case in Amity during the last few months.

Amarnath Yadav, SHO sector 39 police station, said primary investigation revealed that Krishna had allegedly borrowed money from fellow students and was unable to pay back.

Sources said that the student was involved in cricket betting and the police was investigating this angle also.

The month of August had witnessed suicide of a fourth year law student of Amity, Sushant Rohilla at his Sarojini Nagar residence.

His suicide had created a huge uproar as Sushant's friends and family had alleged that he had taken this extreme step after being harassed by college authorities and not being promoted due to shortage of attendance.
