Andhra Pradesh witnessed huge reshuffle of IPS officers and Director General of Police (Law and Order) R P Thakur has been posted as Director General of Anti-Corruption Bureau in place of Malakondaiah.

Eight IPS officers have been reshuffled on Sunday and senior Indian Police Service officer M Malakondaiah of 1985 batch has been posted as Vice-Chairman and Managing Director of Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation.

Nanduri Sambasiva Rao (1984 batch) has been holding full additional charge of the RTC MD post, in addition to another additional charge as Director General of Police (Head of Police Force) since mid-July.With Malakondaiah's appointment, Sambasiva Rao will be relieved of the RTC MD's post.

Director General of Police (Law and Order) R P Thakur (1986) has been posted as Director General of Anti-Corruption Bureau in place of Malakondaiah. Anjana Sinha (1990) has been posted as Additional DGP (Personnel) in the existing vacancy while Harish Kumar Gupta (1992) has been made Inspector General of Police (Law and Order-1).

In other transfers, Amit Garg (1993) has been made IGP Crime Investigation Department; N Madhusudan Reddy (1997) IGP Provisioning and Logistics; K Satyanarayana (1998), who is on deputation to the state from UP, has been posted as Director General of AP State Disaster Response and Fire Services.

T A Tripathi (1987), who has been moved out as DG, State Disaster Response and Fire Services, was not given any fresh posting.E Damodar (1998) has been made IGP Technical Services, as per an order issued by Chief Secretary Satya Prakash Tucker.
