Indian Army Chief General Bipin Rawat has said that India is ready for a “two-and-a-half front war” as he referred to Pakistan, China and internal security threats.
Rawat said this during an interview to news agency Asian News International (ANI). The army chief also said that the situation in Kashmir will soon normalise and said Pakistan was using social media to create unrest in the Valley.
Rawat’s remarks come at a time when Kashmir is facing fresh heat due to stone-pelting incidents and clashes of youngsters with security forces.
“Pakistan is spreading disinformation among the youth of Kashmir with doctored videos and messages. This is further supported by some of the people in the Valley who spread it and glamorise the young boys who have joined terrorist organisations,” Rawat said.
