Army Chief General Bipin Rawat on Wednesday warned of a Uri-like terror attack in future, saying the major requirement for security is intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance to keep an eye on adversaries on Western and Northern borders.
While speaking to ANI, he said,†We are also looking at Electronic Warfare (EW) system to keep an eye not just on borders but in hinterland also.â€
The Army chief said security of installations in the vicinity has become a cause of concern. “We are getting reports of Uri like attacks well in depth,†he said.
Last week, General Rawat had said that radicalisation in Kashmir was being addressed with a "lot of seriousness" as he had blamed the social media for its rise.
