Army chief Gen Dalbir Singh Suhag after reviewing the situation at LoC in Jammu and Kashmir, asked the troops to be alert against any inimical activity, in the wake of heightened tension in Indo-Pak ties.

Chief of Army Staff, General Dalbir Singh visited Headquarters Northern Command at Udhampur on Tuesday.

A day before, Pakistan claimed that Indian army killed seven of its soldiers in shelling. General Suhag instructed the troops to stay vigilant and be aggressive in their approach.

He also interacted with Formation Commanders and reviewed the situation along the Line of Control (LoC) as well as internal security situation in the Command theatre, reportedly.

Commending the soldiers for boldly responding to ceasefire violations, along LoC, he lauded the synergy and co-operation between the Northern Command, Air Force, Paramilitary Forces, Civil Administration, Central Police Organisations operating in the region.
