New Delhi:
An NGO founded by noted social activist Aruna Roy and Nikhil Dey has alleged that it was beaten by a mob headed by Rajasthan’s Jhalawar by BJP legislator Kanwar Lal Meena while the police acted as onlooker of the incident.
As per a report on a leading daily, the group was attacked in Rajasthan’s Jhalawar by BJP legislator Kanwar Lal Meena.
Soochna Evam Rozgar Manch, which is an off-shoot organisation of the Mazdoor Kisan Shakti Sangathan or MKKS founded by Magasaysay award-winner Aruna Roy and Nikhil Dey was on awareness spree in the state when the incident happened.
However, the BJP leader has denied the attack while the state government which is led by Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje has so far not commented on the incident.
