Wife of Talwar couple’s domestic help Hemraj on Friday approached the Supreme Court, challenging the acquittal of the dentist couple in 2008 Aarushi murder case.

Hemraj's wife Khumkala Banjade said the Allahabad High Court has accepted that her husband was killed and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) cannot abandon its responsibility to uncover the murder.

In October, Rajesh and Nupur Talwar were acquited by the Allahabad High Court in the sensational Aarushi-Hemraj murder case.

The Allahabad High Court had said neither the circumstances nor the evidence were enough to hold them guilty. The Noida couple were sentenced to life by a Ghaziabad CBI court on November 28, 2013 for the double murders that not only transfixed but also shook the nation with its element of filicide.
