The AAP government have claimed that no citizens of Delhi would suffer the harassment of long queues for the services under the scheme and Mobil Sahayaks (facilitators) would be hired via an agency.
The Mobile Sahayaks would carry all equipment such camera, biometric devices to ease the process, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia had said in November 2017.
Earlier, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government had accused Lieutenant Governor (LG) Anil Baijal of delaying the proposal at the behest of the Centre. However, a Constitution Bench on July 4 had paved the way for the Delhi government to proceed with the scheme after laying down broad parameters for the governance of the national capital.
