After a clarion call for his 'L-G, Delhi Chodo' campaign, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal staged a sit-in protest at Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal’s office on Monday.
The move came in order to press three demands, including a direction to IAS officers to end their "strike" and action against officers who have struck work for "four months".
Kejriwal along with his deputy Manish Sisodia and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders Satyendra Jain and Gopal Rai met Baijal at Raj Bhavan but the L-G has allegedly refused their demands.
"Handed him this letter. LG refuses to take action. LG is under the constitutional duty to act. Left with no option, we have politely told LG that we will not leave till he acts on all points. We have come out of his chamber and sitting in his waiting room (sic)," Kejriwal said on Twitter.

Sisodia said that he met and wrote to the L-G five times about the strike but he did "nothing" to end it. "How can elected govt work, if Hon LG supports IAS officers strike like this," he tweeted from Raj Niwas.
Meanwhile, the Delhi CM and his cabinet colleagues decided to stay put at his office until their demands are accepted.
A group of IAS officers and the AAP government have been at loggerheads since the alleged assault on Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash by AAP MLAs at Kejriwal's residence on the intervening night of February 19-20. The AAP, however, has refuted such allegation against it.
"In the history of independent India, this is the first time that IAS officers on strike for four months. Why?" Kejriwal asked in another tweet.

He also alleged that the Delhi government officials, who took part in the protest, are being "threatened" into continuing their strike. "The strike is being orchestrated by the PMO and coordinated by the L-G," earlier in the day Kejriwal said at a press conference.
Kejriwal's demands also include approving the doorstep delivery of rations, that will help people and also remove corruption from the national capital. The Delhi CM on Monday also announced a city-wide campaign for full statehood to Delhi.
