New Delhi:
Incessant rain in Assam has thrown life out of gear in the state as several parts are inundated and people have taken shelters to safer places.
In Golaghat, the rains have disrupted road communication by causing heavy damage to roads and basic essential services in the region.
Various monuments also got flooded in Sivasagar of the state.
Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal assured all possible help to the flood victims. He said the government will do an assessment and submit a report in this regard.

Union health minister J P Nadda had assured all help to the Assam government in dealing with the flood situation and asked his ministry officials to keep in touch with the state's health department.
"Asked officials of @MoHFW_INDIA to be in touch with health officials of Assam. We are with our brothers & sisters of Assam in this situation," Nadda had tweeted.
