Ahead of publication of the final NRC list on August 31 in Assam, the State Coordinator for the National Register of Citizens (NRC) on Wednesday released a guide to check if one's name is featuring in the list or not. The authority will make the links available on NRC website (www.nrcassam.nic.in) tomorrow under the title 'Supplementary list of inclusions/exclusions status (final NRC).
People who would be able to check their application status are those - who submitted a claim after not being included in the complete draft published on July 30, 2018, or excluded in the additional draft exclusions list published on June 26 this year, or had any objection filed against their inclusion, or were called for hearings held from 5 July, 2019 onwards.
