With the announcement of dates for the upcoming Assembly elections, both the Congress and the BJP has upped the ante and started intense electioneering to woo the voters. On Wednesday, while Congress president Rahul Gandhi will address a rally in Rajasthan’s Bikaner, BJP president Amit Shah will be campaigning in Telangana.
The Congress president will arrive in Bikaner at 2 pm and then will address will address a 'Maha Sankalp' rally at the Medical College Ground. He will also hold a road show from the Nal airport to the Medical College Ground in Bikaner.

On the other hand, the BJP president will attend two separate meetings of party leader from several parliamentary constituencies in Telangana.
Shah will discuss campaign strategy with booth committee presidents and other leaders of Hyderabad, Secunderabad, Malkajgiri and Chevella Lok Sabha constituencies at the Exhibition Grounds. Later in the day, Shah will also address a public meeting at Karimnagar.

On October 6, the Election Commission had announced the election dates for Assembly elections in five states - Rajasthan, Telangana, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Mizoram.

The elections in Rajasthan and Telangana will be held on December 7 in a single phase. The notification will be issued on November 12 and the last date for filing nominations will be November 19. The results will be declared on December 11.
