The former Prime Minister of India Atal Bihari Vajpayee passed away at 05:05 pm on Thursday at the age of 93 at The All India Institutes of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi. He was admitted in the premier health institute for the past nine weeks after he was diagnosed with kidney tract infection, urinary tract infection and low urine output.
The Central government announced a seven-day state mourning throughout India and during this period the tricolour will be flown at half mast throught the country.
Following the demise of the BJP stalwart Atal Bihari Vajpayee, politicians from different parties mourned the death of the Bharat Ratna awardee.
