Auto driver with quirky Mahindra modified vehicle receives praise from Anand Mahindra, gets brand new carrier

Twitter and other social media platforms may frequent headlines for all the wrong reasons, but once in a while comes along a story that warms our hearts and makes us believe in the power of social media. 

In such incident, life and fortune of an auto-driver were transformed when an image of his quirky modified vehicle was put on social media. 

In an ode to common man's 'big dreams', Mumbai-based Anil Panicker tweeted Sunil's story on March 19, and what more he tagged Mahindra Group's Executive Chairman Anand Mahindra.

Tagging the man himself paid of. Anand not only reacted in the most positive way but also reached out to Panicker for contacting Sunil, the owner of the modified vehicle. "I would like to buy it for our museum & give him 4 wheels in return," Anand Mahindra tweeted hours later.

And what do you know, Anil Panicker helped out Sunil and Anand Mahindra by establishing a contact between them making both of their dreams come true. On May 4 (Thursday), Anand Mahindra confirmed that his team managed to contact Sunil and fulfil their promise. "Our team managed to locate him (Sunil)! And we acquired the 3 wheeler from him..Gave him a 4 wheeler in return," his tweet read.
