Ayodhya dispute: Sri Sri Ravishankar says Muslims by and large are not opposing Ram temple

New Delhi:

Art of Living founder Sri Sri Ravishankar on Thursday said by and large the people of Muslim community are not opposing Ram temple.

While talking to media, he said a few people may have reservation with his mediation on Ayodhya dispute, but a majority of Muslim community people are not opposing Ayodhya temple.

He added, “A solution may sometimes seem impossible but our people, youth and leaders of both communities can make it possible.”

On Wednesday, the Muslim organisations have expressed reservations over spiritual leader Sri Sri Ravishankar's initiative to resolve the long pending Ayodhya dispute, saying he should first disclose his plan.

The Muslim leaders have also taken strong exception to the statements of Shia Central Waqf Board chairman Wasim Rizvi and termed them as unnecessary.

All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) leader Asadduddin Owaisi had also rejected mediation of Art of Living founder Sri Sri Ravishankar on Ayodhya temple dispute, saying the latter should not indulge in any kite-flying.
