A day after Mamata Banerjee's mega rally in Kolkata, BJP MP from Asansol, Babul Supriyo on Sunday took a pot-shot at the West Bengal chief minister, saying that the TMC chief is now looking like a disheartened and frustrated leader with her own people not applauding her anymore.
"Now even her own people are not applauding her at rallies, she is now looking like a disheartened and frustrated leader," ANI quoted Supriyo as saying.
Supriyo's statement came a day after Banerjee on Saturday launched a scathing attack on the BJP and vowed to eject PM Narendra Modi's party to save the nation. She also made a prediction for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, saying that the Saffron party will get a "big blow" in the 2019 general elections and end up with less than 100 seats in parliament.
"Bengal will show the path," the chief minister said during the TMC rally in Esplanade to commemorate the '1993 firing' outside Victoria House that left 13 youth Congress workers dead.
"We will win all the 42 Lok Sabha seats in the state. It is our pledge. We will oust the BJP to save the country. We will organise a big rally here in January and invite all the (opposition) leaders," Banerjee added while addressing the annual rally in Kolkata.

Earlier in June, Babul Supriyo and the Mamata government were at loggerheads after the BJP MP got into an altercation with the district magistrate of West Bengal’s Purulia while visiting the public rally of party president Amit Shah.
Launching a fierce attack on the TMC, Supriyo described the Mamata Banerjee administration as a "goons’ government" and denied to accept any from the state anymore.
