You will be finished: Andhra CM Chandrababu Naidu fumes at BJP workers for blocking his convoy

The BJP workers had stopped his convoy and shouted "CM go back" slogans.

The workers of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday had to face the anger of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu after they tried to block his convoy in Kakinada to protest his remarks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief was in Kakinada to attend the ‘Janmabhoomi maa vooru’ event when some BJP leaders, including some corporators, came in front of his convoy and started shouting “CM go back” slogans. This raged the chief minister who vented out his anger on the BJP workers saying, "If you try to mess, you'll be finished. The public won't leave you if you go out and say his (PM Narendra Modi) name. Be careful. BJP leaders should feel ashamed for supporting Modi in Andhra."

The TDP chief, whose party was a part of the BJP-led ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) until March 2018, when he broke away from the coalition over the issue of special category status for Andhra Pradesh, has been criticising Prime Minister Modi allegedly for betraying the people of the state by not implementing the provisions of the AP Reorganisation Act, 2014.

Earlier this week, the Andhra CM had claimed that he even bowed down in front of PM Modi to satisfy his ego for getting the state his due special category status, but he (PM) still didn’t cooperate. The TDP leader had been claiming that the Narendra Modi government didn’t keep the promises made by the Centre during the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh.

He had also been accusing the prime minister of trying to create a rift between the two Telugu states - Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Modi was scheduled to visit Andhra Pradesh on January 6 but his visit was canceled due to unknown reasons.
