A  horrifying video of a Bengaluru man beating his 10-year-old son for lying has gone viral on the social media. Police has arrested the accused man.

The accused has been identified as Mahendra, employee of an IT company and a resident of Kengeri area of Bengaluru.

In a video making rounds on the social media, Mahendra can be seen beating his son with some cable and then lifting him in the air and throwing him down.

Child can be heard crying and making repeated requests to his father that he will not lie.

MN Anuchet, DCP west zone Bengaluru said, “We have received a complaint from an NGO BOSCO regarding the incident. We have registered a case under JJ Act 82 and IPC Sections 323 & 506. After investigation, we have  arrested the father."

The video was recorded in December 2017 but came into light after the child’s mother gave her mobile for repair to a service shop. After watching the video, the shop owner informed few people about the incident, who later alerted the NGO.

Police said, Mahendra was angry with his son for lying. He had his wife  to record the video and show it to the child the next time when he lies.
