Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tributes on Thursday to freedom fighters Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru on the anniversary of their martyrdom.
"Remembering Bhagat Singh, Rajguru & Sukhdev on the day of their martyrdom. India will never forget their courage & sacrifice," Modi tweeted.
March 23 marks the death anniversary of freedom fighter trio who were hanged in 1931 at Lahore's Fawara Chowk.
Bhagat Singh, who was born in Banga village of Pakistan's Faisalabad district, was only 23 at the time of his death. Sukhdev and Rajguru were also in their 20s when they were sentenced to death.
