The RSS and the Congress are the sworn enemies of each other. While RSS’s ideology symbolises the extreme Hindutva, the Congress’ ideology is more liberal.
The Congress party accuses the RSS, which is also the ideological patriarch of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), of being the brainchild behind the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi – the leader of India’s freedom movement.
The Sangh chief, however, hailed the Hindutva organisation and said that “the work RSS does is incomparable."
