Unverified videos allegedly showing the encounter of 8 suspected Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI) terrorists, who escaped after a jailbreak in Bhopal on Monday, have emerged. The video has raised questions over the encounter. The SIMI terrorists had escaped from the Bhopal Central Jail after killing a security guard on Monday.
The Madhya Pradesh government has hailed the police department and has also said that the National Investigation Agency (NIA) will thoroughly probe the incident.
The video allegedly shows the security personnel firing at the bodies of the SIMI terrorists. Another video shows an eyewitness account.
Bhopal Inspector General of Police Yogesh Choudhary has claimed that eight SIMI terrorists were killed in cross-fire and 7 weapons were recovered from the encounter site.

Madhya Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan says he has spoken to Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and suggested that the NIA should carry out the investigation in the incident.
