Bihar’s Class 12 Arts topper Ganesh Kumar was sent to 14-day judicial custody on Saturday. The move came just after a day of his arrest in forgery charges.
A district police official said that after being produced in a local court, Kumar was sent to jail.
In his interrogation on Saturday, Kumar confessed that he had fudged his age to appear in Class 12 exams conducted by the Bihar School Examination Board, claimed Patna’s Senior Superintendent of Police Manu Maharaj.
Earlier, Bihar Board cancelled Kumar’s result and made him arrested for committing forgery.
