Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said on Thursday that a three-day international Sikh convention would be held here ahead of the Prakash Utsav of Guru Gobind Singh. He launched a website to provide information on the celebration of 350th Prakash Utsav of the Sikh guru early next year.
The website has been developed by tourism department and provides information to visitors about how to reach Patna and where to stay during the function, he said at the function held on the occasion. Elaborate arrangements would be made for the mega celebration of Prakash Utsav of the 10th Sikh Guru Govind Singh and a three-day public holiday would be announced, he said.
Widespread publicity of Prakash Utsav would be made, including on TV and Bihar government would arrange accomodation for 20,000 devotees in pandals in Gandhi maidan, he said adding Proper parking facility would be provided to the vistors.
Kumar also flagged off a tourism department vehicle for publicity of Prakash utsav. Tourism minister Anita Devi, principal secretary to tourism department Harjot Kaur and development commissioner Shishir Sinha were present on the occasion.
