New Delhi:

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Sunday said he would attend the anti-Bharatiya Janata Party rally organised by RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav on August 27 if he gets the invitation for the same.

The Bihar chief minister said the rally will strengthen RJD as a party. He further added had it been a rally of Grand Alliance, it would have failed to witness support.

Nitish said the JD(U) has supported NDA’s pick Ram Nath Kovind on the basis of good performance of the latter. Nitish said his party does not follow anyone come what may. He said they have only one principle and it is firm.

It is reported in media that Nitish Kumar was not happy with the remarks of RJD and Congress leaders against him and his party over support to Kovind. It is said that he will also skip the rally.

Lalu already announced rally will be attended by West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee, Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav and BSP supremo Mayawati.
