Bihar’s former health minister and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav’s elder son Tej Pratap Yadav has threatened to beat up Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi during his son’s marriage function.
The threat by the former health minister came in public domain after a video clip showing Tej Pratap delivering the 'offending' speech went viral.
One can hear Tej Pratap saying, “Our quarrel with him still continues. If I go there, I will expose him at the venue and beat up Modi at his house. We are not going to stop.”
He added, “Modi has invited me to his son’s wedding. He has called to insult us. I will disrupt the wedding and thrash him."
Modi, replying to Tej Pratap’s comment said, “I sent him invitation for my son's marriage as I did to leaders of all political parties including those of the RJD.”
“I don’t understand why he is bringing politics into the marriage of my son. I have differences of ideology with Lalu Prasad Yadav but respectfully attended wedding of his daughters,” added Modi.
Tej Pratap’s 'threat' came a day after Rabri Devi, his mother and former Bihar chief minister, had claimed that many people in the state are ready to ‘slit Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s throat and chop of his hand.”
