Acting swiftly against the sexual assault on a teenager in Bihar's Jehanabad, the police on Monday arrested four people who were seen molesting a girl and trying to strip her.
In a viral video shared widely on social media, a group of five to seven men were seen molesting a teenage girl and trying to strip her. The girl kept on fighting her molesters before falling on the ground unconscious. She later regained her consciousness and tried to escape the boys.
“Faces of two people have been matched with people in the video and other two were making the clip. Other four to five people have been named by them,” Nayyar Hasnain Khan, Patna Zonal IG said.
The police formed a special investigation team (SIT) to investigate the matter and a search operation was underway to arrest the other accused seen molesting the girl in the video.
The police has identified the bike seen in the molestation video and was trying to find out the exact location where the incident took place.
“We have lodged a case at Town police station. We have identified a bike that belongs to one Ravi Ranjan Kumar. Though the location, open fields, looks that of somewhere near the Jehanabad town, we are trying to verify the video and also find out the exact location,” Jehanabad SP Manish Kumar said.
