A group of heavy-armed naxals attacked the Masudan Railway Station in Bihar on Tuesday. According to initial reports, the naxals attacked the railway station on Tuesday night and torched the station property as well.

Reports also say that naxals abducted the Assistant Station master and one other railway staff. No casualties have been reported from the spot.

Divisional Railway Manager Maldah received a call from the abducted assistant station master. He said that the naxals have threatened to kill the two abducted people if trains continue plying on the Masudan track.

The authorities have advised the passengers to take alternative routes for precaution.In August, a train was hijacked by them in the Lakhisarai district of Bihar. In March, a group of 20 alleged Naxalites attacked an Odisha railway station, Doikallu, with explosives.
